The system analyzes data to predict where and when crimes will happen — and who the likely perpetrators are. In the US, where the same technology has been used for years, it's been proven to lead to racial discrimination and over-policing in poor neighborhoods. The Human Rights League has raised the alarm. Police say it's just a "tool."
